Proverbs 2

2:4-5 "and if you look for it (wisdom) as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God." That is so against our culture these days. No one wants to put forth effort, they just want things handed to them. But God calls us to search out wisdom as if we were looking for silver, thats intense! How and what are you doing to earnestly search out wisdom?

I think Proverbs 2 teaches us to search for wisdom the way we search for the things that make us happy. When it says look for it as for silver and search for it as hidden treasure its like saying look for wisdom as if it was something rare and beautiful and search for it as if its only found if you try seeking it. I think.

I think Proverbs 2 is teaching us to search for wisdom and not just expect it to be there. If we don't search for the wisdom of the Lord, then we will just be in the ways of other people and be like them even if they do wrong. But, if we search for God's wisdom then it will save us from the wicked poeple out there. To find wisdom, we should read the Bible every day. But not just read it but really read it and understand what it is saying.
