Proverbs 6
16-18: There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. Are any of these descriptors in verses16-18 a part of your life? This chapter shows that following after God is the way to a full life, not an empty one full of deceit. Are you pursuing after God through admitting your faults both to him and others you might have hurt?

Proverbs 6 talks about righting yourself with your neighbor (or whoever) you have wronged. It says to admit your faults to your neighbor and do it immediately. It says how keeping it in will cause "great poverty and scarcity." Several of the verses in Proverbs 6 do describe my life at times. I try everyday to be a humble and honest person. Everyday I always pray and ask that I stay true to my faith. If I mess up the first thing I do is ask for forgiveness from God and from whoever I wronged.
In Proverbs 6 it gives a list of the things god hates. We should look at this and see if any of the things on the list are in our lives and ,if so, figure out how we could fix the situation and remove those things.
Every night, before I go to bed I pray to God and ask for forgiveness. I ask him to forgive me for whatever I did to different people that day. i also as forgiveneess from the people I've wronged too.
Proverbs 6 talks about how "a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest-and poverty will come on you like an armed man." If you have wronged someone and know you have wronged them, don't act like it never happened, for "poverty will come on you like an armed man." I would say Proverbs 6 does describe my life. I try everyday to be honest and faithful. When it doesn't happen, i have learned to lean on God first and ask for help to help me forgive him and forgive those i have hurt from, "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers"
haha. sorry but i absolutely love all the names kyle uses. and that picture is us in front of that one building at philly! i think..=]
but verses six-eleven really hit me hard. i mean come on look, i am on chapter six when i should be up at chapter 12, but im not. I have layed around doing nothing to stretch my faith since philly. to be honest, i didn't open my bible up for a whole week after philly. it wasn't till you told us to read that i read the first two chapters of proverbs. since then, i have had plenty of time to do so, but its just not what i wanted to do.
reading proverbs is helping me understand that i have to run for god, and that is what i really really do wantt to do. i want to be following him hard and let nothing distract me from that path.
