Proverbs 22
22:1 "A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold." Is this true in our lives? Are we people that care more about our name than money or fame? Our name stands for something if we have a relationship with Christ, we represent him on this earth. Is that visible in the way we live our lives? Do we care more about the one we represent, or do we give into the world standards and fall to other things?

I have been trying to not care about money or fame (at school that would probabbly be popularity) but instead care about my reputation. If someone hear's that your a nice christian person, they'll want to be your friend and be like you. If you only care about popularity, people with think oh she's just one of them. Every day before school my dad would say, "Bayley, be a light today." I try not to fall into the temptations of others but just be Christ-like in every possible way. Yes this is difficult. And yes I'm not always like this but I do try.
This next year I will be starting high school. A new building, new teachers, new students, and maybe new friends. To some this may seem intimidating, but to me it is exciting. I get to start all over. Like Bayley I am trying to focus more on having a Christ-related reputation than being popular. In the past I think people knew I was a "good girl," but I'm not sure they thought of me as a "God girl." So I am really trying to be more of a light this year.
