Proverbs 25

25:21 "If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink." Isn't that a tough verse to read, but at the same time so good? It is hard to be kind and show our enemies love isn't it? We all have enemies in life, anywhere from a person who hurt you in the past to the person you can't stand to be around because of the way he/she acts. And even though our natural reaction is to run from these people or do something to get back at them, God calls us to serve them. So are are we doing at serving our enemies? Do we pray for them? Are we working at showing Christ's love to them? Or do we take the easy way out and avoid them or even hold a grudge?

Wow, to me this verse proposes a challenge. To love everyone is really difficult. To help this along I have made a really late new year's resolution (or maybe early for next year:)), during the school year (when I am in contact with most of my enemies) I am going to give one compliment a day to someone I don't like. Just a "hey, that's a cute shirt" or "I really like your hair." Once a day. A good natured compliment to "feed and water" my enemy.

There is this one girl that I really don't like at my school. She used to be one of my close friends. I'm not really sure what happened. She started being snotty and got annoyed with everyone. Even my other friends don't like her very much. I try to still be nice to her but it's hard cause she's a brat to me. I feel bad for her too because her dad's in Iraq and she lives with her step-mom. My friends and I should try to be nice to her and show her God's love even if it's hard.
