Proverbs 29
29:7 "The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern." I am sure this verse has much meaning to all those that were present on the San-Fransisco trip and worked with hurting people. But God's word plainly states that if we are to be righteous than we must care about justice for the poor. Because if we don't care we become the wicked like it said in the verse, "the wicked have no such concern." So do we care about the poor (me included), or are we so caught up in our own lives that we forget about them? What can we be doing to help grow our compassion for the poor, and live a lifestyle of serving them?

I think that we are caught up in our own lives and forget about the poor most of the time. Like, we judge them at school or whatever. Like at my school, there is free or reduced priced lunches for people who's parents can't afford for them to pay for their lunches. I remember talking to my one friend about it and we judged them i guess and i remember feeling bad for them. But we do forget that God loves us all the same no matter how rich or how poor we are. I'm kind of switching from school to the whole world but we went to Las Vegas at the beginning of the summer for a few days. We walked past a few homeless people. I didn't even try to do anything like give them money or even say Jesus loves you. I regret that now. Next time I see a homeless preson I'm going to tell them Jesus loves them.
